There’s a park not far from my house. In the center is a small lake, and scattered around are various pavilions, picnic tables and a few swingsets. There’s also one large playground. I like the idea of photographing the unused playground equipment, again using a sepia tone to make it look even more aged than it is. Unfortunately, the sepia setting on my camera doesn’t get things quiet as brown as I’d like, meaning I’d need to use photo editing software to achieve the effects I wanted.
So instead, I turned my attention to the geometry in some of the playground equipment. There were several structures for climbing, including a geodesic half dome, and a tall, circular metal structure. I photographed these from several different angles, crawling underneath to get a view of the bars against the sky.
Here’s my photo for today.
